Description
One of many school Sitcoms, Big School was created by the creator of many sitcoms, David Walliams. It centres around science teacher Keith Church (Walliams) and his love for the French teacher Sarah Postern (Tate).
Cast
Keith Church - David Walliams
Sarah Postern - Catherine Tate
Trevor Gunn - Philip Glennister
Gareth Barber - Steve Spiers
Janine Klebb - Joanna Scanlon
Luke Martin - Daniel Rigby
Margaret Baron - Frances de la Tour
Spotlight Star

I've decided to choose Frances de la Tour as the Spotlight Star, because her portrayal of a no-BS headteacher feels the most full. If anything, she was criminally underused, and she could have a series dedicated to just her.
I think Glennister was a close second, but Frances is a national treasure and I have no idea why she has no royal honour to her name. An MBE at least, surely. Dame de la Tour just has a ring to it.
Opinion
It's an interesting sitcom in that it's not outrageously hilarious but it's equally not terrible. I think it's an amalgamation of all other sitcoms in one. None of the characters feel that new, and most aren't distinctly formed. However, it isn't a complete snooze-fest, and the cast perform their duties well.
Unrelated points. It was great hearing Cheryl Fergison sing Ave Maria.Morgana Robinson stole her scenes as a YA author.
