Description
If comedies about an ultra-religious family with an irritatingly puritanical patriarch played by Will from the Inbetweeners, Everyone Else Burns is the sitcom for you. The show is a good insight into how strong faith believers struggle with modern-day distractions and temptations, such as having fun and relationships.
Cast
David Lewis - Simon Bird
Fiona Lewis - Kate O'Flynn
Rachel Lewis - Amy James-Kelly
Aaron Lewis - Harry Connor
Melissa - Morgana Robinson
Miss Simmons - Lolly Adefope
Joshua - Ali Khan
Spotlight Star

I had three choices for who I could see being the Spotlight Star, Amy James-Kelly as Rachel (a name I imagine we'll be seeing a lot more of in the near future), Lolly Adefope as Miss Simmons (she is iconic in everything she appears in), and Harry Connor as Aaron. I've chosen Connor due to the fact that most of his scenes are with Simon Bird, and yet Connor completely holds his own against the sitcom powerhouse.
He also looks A LOT like Kit Connor in some scenes, and I can't fathom how they're not related. They must be somehow.
Opinion
Overall, I think Everyone Else Burns is a decent and original series, and is just about memorable long term. However, it's not a "wow what a series" series. I can see it getting a second series though.
It wins points for having both Lolly Adefope and Morgana Robinson, two of the trio I'd call the modern sitcom greats, Adefope, Robinson, and Tim Key.
