You’re probably not wondering what my ranking of Taskmaster series would look like. This list will purely be on the main UK version and also New Zealand's first two seasons, not including Champion of Champions or specials. I will also give my favourite contestant of each series. So as not per your request, here goes.

15th - Series 3
Okay, so someone’s gotta come last. Unfortunately this falls with the third series. It’s a good enough series in parts, I just think it lacked that little bit of je ne sais quoi. Which is a shame, because I had liked seeing Rob, Sara and Dave on other shows. Perhaps the issue was too many more serious characters. For me a good series has every member just a tiny bit mad.
Standout - Rob Beckett

14th - Series 11
Possibly the most controversial placing I have on this list as I know a lot of people would place this at least in their top three. What can I say, I just didn’t connect with it all too well. Of course, as any other series it had it’s funny moments, that’s a guarantee with Mr Lee Mack on board, and introducing me to Mike Wozniak is a plus. But I think it felt safe.
Standout - Lee Mack

13th - Series 8
Again, a decent series, high highs and low lows. Joe Thomas is a treasure that must be protected at all costs, and I think he and Sian deserved to be on another series. There were just too many problems in the series with visible effects of illness affecting performances, genuine disappointment in watching themselves back, etc.
Standout - Joe Thomas

12th - Series 1
Okay we’re reaching the series that I have little negative to say. This is the OG, and if Frank Skinner hadn’t said “Yeah alright, I’ll do a show where we draw a horse whilst on a horse”, perhaps we’d not be where we are today. I can only describe the series as classic.
Standout - Roisin Conaty

11th - NZ Series 1
It took me a while to watch the series, and then longer to properly get into it, but it does have good moments, episode 8 being my favourite by far. The keyboard message double task and the surprise outfit task are both funny and could be done on UK, as well as the desert making task from the finale. I did have some issues with Guy and Jeremy at times, but everything else I liked.
Standout - Angella Dravid

10th - Series 2
A very similar situation to UK series 1, just with a bigger budget. And of course, we must mention it, THAT potato moment. Iconic.
Standout - Joe Wilkinson

9th - Series 6
I can see a lot of people ranking this series quite low, and I can understand it might come across safe, but I think it could have been so much worse. The contestants are so different to one another, but it doesn’t crash and burn, that says a lot. Perhaps following series 4 and 5 was a tough thing. Also, Liza deserves a damehood, there I said it.
Standout - Liza Tarbuck

8th - Series 9
Possibly another controversial ranking, but hey, join my cult why don’t you.
Standout - Rose Matafeo

7th - Series 10
Let this be said, Daisy May Cooper is an icon and I won’t be having any negativity towards her. Some people just don’t get her, and that’s fine. They see her as grumpy or rude. But when you understand her and her comedy, she’s gold. This series will always be known as the pandemic series, which is unfortunate, but they did well considering. Side point, thank you for introducing me to the king that is Mawaan.
Standout - Daisy May Cooper or Mawaan Rizwan

6th - NZ Series 2
Look, there was a lot of hype before I watched this series, a lot of people saying it was their favourite ever, and I can understand why, David and Guy really made this series feel unique and more established than the first series. I also found Urzila hilarious. I think the reason it didn't make it into the top 5 is that I didn't connect with Laura or Matt, at all, and I still don't really like Jeremy as TM
Standout - Guy Montgomery

5th - Series 13
Many funny moments across the most recent series, sausage spinner being the one that comes to mind straight off. It was interesting seeing Alex lose his mind at times when being around Bridget, and that was hilarious. No way!
Standout - Bridget Christie

4th - Series 5
We have reached the big guns. Everyone in this series is a legend and to follow series 4 was a hard task, but it didn't disappoint. So many iconic quotes and tasks; bubbly fuck, the fish pun task, the jelly throw, and of course the song task. Rosalind, you fucking nightmare.
Standout - Aisling Bea

3rd - Series 12
One word. wwwwooooooOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW. Every one of the contestants brought something unique to this series. Before it aired there was a lot of worry that someone like Victoria wouldn't get involved or be an obvious outlier, but she brought her own spin on it, and it was great. An overall incredible series.
Standout - Morgana Robinson

2nd - Series 7
A lot would have this as number one, and I COMPLETELY understand. Each of them were slightly insane, the tasks were so unique and every one of them performed with humour. The teams were perfectly chosen, the arguments felt spicy, true, yet not aggressive. The outfits were iconic. Alex and Greg were on their A Game. I could really go on.
Standout - Jessica Knappett

1st - Series 4
There is something quite homely about this series and I'm not entirely sure what it is. But what I do know is that each contestant is a legend. Mel is hilarious and her exotic sandwich task always has me in stitches. Hugh is the bumbling sort of cloud lover. Lolly I didn't know before, but so glad I do now, she's great. Joe we knew would be funny, and he delivered (smile to camera). Noel taking a slightly lax but fierce approach.
Standout - Mel Giedroyc
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think a huge part of making a good series is contestant relationships. With S4, Mel knew Hugh and obviously has a Bake Off link with Noel. With S7, you can tell they all get along off camera, and each argument is done with humour, and of course Rhod has history with Greg.
